Comparisons of working pH standards of national metrological institutes in COOMET

  • Published:
Measurement Techniques Aims and scope

Results of comparisons of working pH standards of national metrological institutes that are members of COOMET are presented. Working pH standards composed of secondary transducers and measurement (glass) electrodes and comparison (chlorosilver) electrodes are used for the comparisons. The results show that the overwhelming majority of laboratories that participated in the comparisons present data on pH measurements that possess deviations from the mean that do not exceed ±0.01 pH, which corresponds to the declared measurement uncertainty.
