An improved value of the variation in the rate of rotation of the oscillation plane of a paraconic pendulum during the solar eclipse in Mexico on July 11, 1991 is obtained. The variation in the rate of rotation during the eclipse is compared with its averaged value in several control series of experiments performed before and after the eclipse. The improved value proves to be three times greater than the local Foucault effect.
