Abstract
Problems are considered for the accuracy of measuring the temporal position of an echo signal that arises during low-frequency ultrasonic monitoring of extensive objects made from complex structural materials (concrete, plastics, composites). Errors caused by the construction of the measuring device, the measurement method, properties and features of the article being monitored, including the effect of different types of noise and interference: pulsed interference, equipment noise, structural noise, are analyzed.
