The effect of roughness of the inner surface of the pipeline on the error of measurements using immersed vortex flow meters

  • Published:
Measurement Techniques Aims and scope

Abstract

The additional systematic errors of measurements which arise when using immersed vortex flowmeters, due to the roughness of the inner surface of the pipeline, are considered. A procedure for estimating these errors and correcting the frequency division factor in the measurement channel of the instrument in order to eliminate these errors partially, is proposed.
