The finite-element method is used for computer modeling of the process of drawing a round product in a conical die with counter-tension. The modeling is done using the bundled software DEFORM 2D. Graphs are obtained to show the dependence of the drawing stress on the stress created by the counter-tension. It is established that the counter-tension stress affects the stress state of the product during the drawing operation, the dependence of the drawing force on the taper of the die’s working cone, and the distribution of normal pressure on the contact surface. The feasibility of improving the wear resistance of the tool by drawing with counter-tension is evaluated.
