On choosing software for simulating metal-forming processes

A survey is made of popular software products for the computer simulation of metal-forming (MFM) processes by searching electronic libraries and reference databases. The survey showed how researchers’ preferences are distributed when choosing programs for the computer modeling of MFM processes. The approach that was taken here can prove very useful when attempting to determine which software product should be chosen for modeling that is being done to solve a specific problem.
