Force parameters in the extrusion of tubes from a centrifugally cast semifinished product of steel 08Kh18N10T

Metallurgist Aims and scope

The deformation resistance of steels used to make tubes from centrifugally cast semifinished products is determined by upsetting cylindrical specimens of steel 08Kh18N10T on a cam-operated plastometer. Studies performed for wide ranges of total deformation and the rate and temperature at which deformation is carried out have made it possible to refine the force parameters in the extrusion of such tubes.
