Changes in mechanical properties and microstructure parameters are studied during heat treatment in a continuous hot dip galvanizing unit for high-strength rolled sheet of different alloying systems and strength classes. Optimum heat treatment temperatures are established for obtaining a specified and stable set of properties, and also the possibility of preparing low-alloy steels of different strength classes by varying the heat treatment temperature.
