The physico-mechanical properties of an iron–copper composite are studied and a comparative analysis is made of the force and deformation parameters for making such composites by hot and cold plastic deformation. The findings of experimental and theoretical studies are used to develop a method of calculating the resistance of the iron–copper composite to plastic deformation.
