Effect of the mineral composition of crust-forming deposits on thermodynamic properties of heat exchangers

  • Published:
Metallurgist Aims and scope

This article presents results from a study of the kinetics of formation of crust-forming deposits on the heating surfaces of a new design of s tube-and-shell heat exchanger. The properties and structure of the deposits are determined and the effect of their composition on the heat-engineering characteristics of the heaters is examined.
