Abstract
This article describes commercial trials of a new ladle-type vacuum-degassing process (VODF) performed during steel production at the Severstal Metallurgical Combine. A comparative analysis is made between this process and existing vacuum-degassing technologies, demonstrating the advantages of the new method.
