Abstract
This article reports on the results of a study undertaken to make use of the acoustic properties of standard spring steels 65, 60G, and U7 and four steels developed by the authors: steels ZIP-1, ZIP-2, ZIP-3, and ZIP-4. Comparison of the characteristics of these steels showed that steel ZIP-3 is characterized by less sound radiation during impact, which ensures a reduction in noise at work stations in factories.
