  • Published:
Metallurgist Aims and scope

Abstract

Results are presented from studies and experiments conducted with the objective of reducing the overall contamination of steel by nonmetallic inclusions and changing their morphology. The article describes a new technology for deoxidizing steel and examines the main types of defects formed in steel’ the conditions under which they form’ and the mechanisms responsible for their formation.
