Alternative methods of producing bars and wire

  • Published:
Metallurgist Aims and scope

Abstract

This article discusses possible alternative methods of making bars and wire without the use of conventional drawing operations. Thanks to use of the features and capabilities of the electrically stimulated deformation of metals, a foundation has been established for developing new approaches to the production of bars and wire products.
