Abstract
Information is presented on the maximum pressure generated by the explosion of aerosols. When a building is being rated for explosion-proofing, this information is needed to calculate the rise in blast pressure that would occur in such an explosion. It is also used to calculate the cross section of openings that are designed into equipment to relieve pressure, as well as the area of easily displaced structural elements in buildings where the danger of explosion is significant.
