Modeling thermal processes in the mold-ingot system

Abstract

A description is given of a scientifically substantiated method of calculating effective heat-transfer coefficients. Use of the method makes it possible to simplify the configuration of the working wall of continuous-caster molds when mathematical modeling is being used to study thermal processes in the ingot-mold system.
