Abstract
The use of new thermal imaging systems is significantly expanding the possibilities for tracking and analyzing the thermal phenomena which take place in heating furnaces, and it shows that systems can be developed to continuously monitor the condition of these units. Solving this problem will lengthen the service life of heating furnaces, practically eliminate burn-throughs of the lining, and bring about a significant monetary savings.
