We compare the results of oxidation of sintered powder titanium and deformed VT1-0 titanium. The differences between the formation of diffusion and oxide layers are detected by the X-ray diffraction, X-ray phase diffraction, durometric, and metallographic investigations. The protective properties of oxide layers of different structures are evaluated according to the results of corrosion tests in a 20% solution of hydrochloric acid.
