We analyze the possibility of changing mechanical properties of the welds by controlling the amount of acicular ferrite in the structure of the weld metal. We realize the method of adding the powder of titanium carbides to metal melts in the welding bath. It is established that nonmetallic inclusions 0.3–0.8 μm in size discovered in the structure of the weld metal are responsible for the formation of microstructural components and mechanical properties of welds.
