Rational Modes of High-Frequency Thermal Treatment of Steel Cylinders

  • Published:
Materials Science Aims and scope

Abstract

We study various modes of high-temperature induction treatment of ferromagnetic cylinders and show that the level of residual stresses in a cylinder can be controlled by the choice of the frequency of currents and the conditions of cooling. This enables one to determine rational modes of treatment.
