Notes
I will use this term in the rest of the review to denote this broader ambit including more than questions of how to do legal philosophy.
We need to note that Dickson’s spirit throughout the book is supportive to different approaches to law and accepting of opposite views. However, given the fact that her argument establishes criteria on successful theories, she indirectly assesses the theories not meeting those as unsuccessful.
For an analysis of the reductive aspect of methodological individualism see David-Hillel Ruben, The Metaphysics of the Social World (Routledge & Kegan Paul 1985) 86 ff.
