Abstract
To ensure the availability of freshwater resources in areas with limited water supply, it is crucial to enhance the efficiency of solar-powered desalination systems that are affordable, such as solar stills (SS). The parameters of basin water deepness and thermal storing beds were vital important parameters influencing the amount of yield from a SS. During rainy or cloudy days, the distiller does not operate in original conditions. This research purposes to raising the yield from salty water by a distiller operating with renewable energy sources. The study examined the impact of sands kinds (black and yellow) and sandy bed heights on TSS productivity, as well as the influence of internal reflectors on the TSS efficiency. The results of the experiment indicated that the production of TSS was enhanced by the presence of sandy layers. At 1 cm and black sands, the largest rise in cumulative output of sandy TSS with reflections was noted. When weighed against CSS, potable output under these circumstances increased by 105%.
