Abstract

The LSC instrument was efficiency calibrated for the tritium activity determination in river water samples by the direct measurement and different LSC cocktails were evaluated in the study. The combined standard uncertainty was around 6% at the coverage factor k = 1. The background tritium, total beta- and 137Cs activity concentrations in the Neris River samples were assessed. The obtained mean values were 1.5 Bq L− 1, 25 mBq L− 1, and 3.3 mBq L− 1 (MDA), respectively.
