On the Motion of a Body Suspended on a Thread with Variable Length

Abstract

In this paper, we consider the motion of a body suspended on a thread of variable length. We obtain expressions for the speed of the flexible thread when it is wound on a drum, the angular velocity of the drum, and the total duration of the process.
