Stability of a Discretely Reinforced Plate in Gas Flow

  • Published:
Journal of Mathematical Sciences Aims and scope Submit manuscript

We study an approximate solution of the problem of divergence, i.e., of the static instability of a plate discretely reinforced by a system of stiffening ribs in a gas flow. The critical divergence velocity is approximately determined and the influence of stringers on this velocity is analyzed.
