Abstract

We report the first-principle calculations of the Co2VSn and V2CoSn Heusler alloys in L21 phase. These alloys are found to be stable in ferromagnetic states. The bulk modulus decreases after the interchanging of the Co-V element positions in Co2VSn alloy. In comparison with half-metallic nature of Co2VSn, V2CoSn Heusler alloy showed the metallic character. Moreover, after the swapping of X to Y positions in Co2VSn Heusler alloy, the enhanced magnetic moment (5.834 μB/f.u.) was obtained with respect to magnetic moment (3.021 μB/f.u.) of Co2VSn alloy.
