Abstract
Single crystal X-ray diffraction has been used to find out that 2-benzyliden-6-furfurylidene-cyclohexanone has the E,E-configuration and s-cis-conformation of the furfurylidene fragment. The furfurylidene substituent and the carbonyl group exhibit the utmost conjugation; the conjugation in the benzylidene fragment is not perfect.
