Abstract
We develop the harmonic oscillator model for description of thermal properties of very small dielectric crystals at very low temperatures. We show that the phonon heat capacity of small crystal samples at temperatures lower than 1K differs significantly from the well-known Debye dependence T3; the capacity becomes a linear function of temperature.
