On Master Oscillator of Laser-Electron X-Ray Generator

Journal of Russian Laser Research Aims and scope

Abstract

We propose a new design for the master oscillator of a medical Thomson laser-electron generator. By means of numerical simulations, we show that negative optoelectronic feedback together with highfrequency modulation (5 GHz used in accelerators) allows one to single out one pulse not longer than 15 ps in the axial interval, as well as to synchronize the pulse with the accelerator system.
