Abstract
We propose a mathematical model of the temperature-field formation inside and outside the laser-irradiated region and study its dependence on the laser-pulse treatment conditions. We describe the process of summation of the surface temperatures due to close laser pulses and provide recommendations on choosing an optimum laser regime for treatment of moderately hard surfaces, such as torsion shafts.
