Journal of Russian Laser Research Aims and scope

Abstract

Based on the hydrodynamics description, the influence of inhomogeneity and finite pressure of plasma on the characteristics of nonlinear Langmuir oscillations is considered. It is demonstrated that in the case of weak nonuniformity the nonlinear Langmuir oscillations become anharmonic and are described by the Duffing equation.
