This month we are pleased to announce the appointment of two new members to our Editorial Board of the Journal of Religion and Health. Both have distinguished careers in health care, and both have contributed to the Journal as authors and reviewers of articles. And both have expressed enthusiasm for their appointments to the Editorial Board as yet another way to share their knowledge and expertise as advisors and thoughtful contributors to the editorial process.

These two new Editorial Board members are:

Jennifer Shepard Payne, LC.S.W., Ph.D. Dr. Payne is currently Associate Professor, Department of Social Work, in the School of Behavioral and Applied Sciences, at Pacific Azusa University, Azusa, California. Among her interests and background are a commitment to teaching and research in regard to mental health issues in minority populations and for the needs of the clergy who serve them.

Ezra Gabbay, M.D., M.S. Dr. Gabbay is Assistant Professor of Medicine, Hospital Medicine, in the Department of Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College, New York. Dr. Gabbay’s serves as a Hospitalist whose specialty in medicine is Nephrology. He is a mentor to medical students and residents and has an appointment in the Division of Medical Ethics in the Department of Medicine where he regularly teaches.

Finally, we wish to note that this issue of the Journal is among the largest in its fifty-seven year history with 34 articles and 400 pages. We continue to thrive and thank all our readers, contributors, reviewers, Editorial Board members, and the staff at Springer for their support.
