Abstract
The study of the crystallization behaviour of glass As1Se74S25 was carried out. The main disadvantage of glasses with a high selenium content is their tendency to crystallize. The crystalline phases formed after exposure to temperatures 100–180 ˚С were studied by X-ray diffraction analysis. Se; Se4S4; Se5S; As2(Se,S)3; and Se0,72S0,29 (γ-phase) were found. Two temperature regions with different crystallization behaviours were distinguished: at higher temperatures crystallization develops via nucleation and growth of equilibrium phase, but at lower temperatures only via growth of already existing nuclei.
