Abstract

The steady state equilibrium equation for partially ionized plasma is derived. The relaxed state is a triple curl Beltrami equation which can be cast as a superposition of three Beltrami fields. This is the result of introducing inertia of all the constituents of partially ionized plasma. The triple curl Beltrami field is governed by three scale parameters, one corresponds to large scale (system size) while the other two represent the small scale structures of the order of electron skin depth.
