On the Theory of Forced Mixing of Hydrocarbon Fluids in Storage Systems

  • Published:
Journal of Engineering Physics and Thermophysics Aims and scope

The elementary scheme and the theory of mixing of two fractions of hydrocarbon fluids in a tank using jet apparatuses (ejectors or jet pumps) have been considered. Equations have been presented that describe flows used in actual practice in the devices and make it possible to track the process of mixing in the stage of injection and in the subsequent stage of mixing in the jet turbulent flow of a mixture flowing out of the ejector.
