Journal of Engineering Physics and Thermophysics Aims and scope

Consideration has been given to the problems of rheology of non-Newtonian oils in the gas-lift method of recovery. An analysis of the state of a non-Newtonian oil containing asphalt resinous substances has enabled the authors to investigate structuring and its influence on rheological properties. The formation of adsorption films on the surface of water droplets and gas bubbles leads to obtaining stable oil emulsions. The thickness of the adsorption layer as a function of the content of asphalt resinous substances has been calculated. Experimental investigations into the rheology of non-Newtonian oils have been proposed and rheological models have been obtained.
