Simulation of the Working Process of a Supersonic Combustor with a Vortex Igniter-Stabilizer

  • Published:
Journal of Engineering Physics and Thermophysics Aims and scope

Results of numerical simulation and experimental investigation of the working process of a vortex igniter-stabilizer are presented. It is shown that a high-temperature pulsating swirling jet provides reliable ignition of a fuel and its stable combustion at a main-flow velocity of up to 2.5 M.
