Some scientific foundations of modern energy-saving technologies of gas cleaning with the use of immovable, moving, and fluidized beds

  • Published:
Journal of Engineering Physics and Thermophysics Aims and scope

Some results of theoretical and experimental investigations on the hydrodynamics of immovable, gravitationally moving, and fluidized beds of catalysts and adsorbents and the heat and mass transfer in them are presented. The mechanical, structural, physical, and chemical properties of these catalysts and adsorbents as well as their adsorption, catalytic, and regeneration characteristics are considered. Correlations for calculating a number of parameters of the indicated substances are presented, and the schemes and principles of operation of gas-cleaning systems developed on the basis of the investigations performed are described.
