Effect of dynamic coupling in the formation–well system on the efficiency of a deep-well pumping unit

  • Published:
Journal of Engineering Physics and Thermophysics Aims and scope

A mathematical model of dynamic coupling in the formation–well system is constructed, and on the basis of theoretical investigations the effect of this coupling on the efficiency of a deep-well pumping unit is determined. An expression for the fluid inflow to the well in unit time with allowance for the dynamic formation–pump coupling is obtained. The pressure distribution in the formation is determined. It is found that with a rise in the dynamic level of fluid in the hole annulus the oscillating component of the fluid inflow to the well increases.
