Abstract

Through applying the mixed-ligand method, two coordination polymers (CPs) containing Cu(II) ions as the metal centres have been synthesized, and their chemical formulas are [{Cu(muco)(bpa)(2H2O)}·2H2O]n (1) and [{Cu(muco)(4bpdp)}·2DMF·H2O]n (2) (in which, 4bpdb = 1,4-bis(4-pyridyl)-2,3-diaza-1,3-butadiene, bpa = 1,2-bis(4-pyridyl)ethane and the muco = trans, trans-muconate dianion). The treatment activity of compound 1 and the compound 2 was evaluated in the biological experiments. Firstly, the inflammatory response of the spine surgery incision was assessed by the enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) detection. Besides, the inhibitory action of both two compounds against the Staphylococcus aureus biofilm formation was further detected utilizing the real time reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR).
