Abstract

A new 2D network formulated as [TBA]3[H2PMo V8 Mo VI4 O40Zn4][C7H6(COO)2] (1) containing linear inorganic chain {ε-H2PMo V8 Mo VI4 O40Zn4} has been synthesized and structurally characterized by FT-IR, thermal analysis, single crystal and powder X-ray diffraction. Compound 1 shows remarkable electrocatalytic activity towards bromate reduction, nitrite reduction and ascorbic acid oxidation. Moreover, the proton conduction behavior of 1 has also been investigated.
