Abstract

A rare In-substituted polyoxotungstate [(CH3)2NH2]4[In3(H2O)3(NO3)(A-α-H3PW9O34)2]·H2O (1) was synthesized by solvothermal method and structurally characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, IR, and PXRD. Crystal data for 1: Orthorhombic, Pna2 1 , a = 30.4630(3) Å, b = 17.1079(14) Å, c = 21.1629(17) Å, V = 11029.4(16) Å3, Z = 4. Compound 1 is constructed from two trilacunary Keggin [A-α-H3PW9O34]6− polyoxoanions linked together by a triangular trinuclear [In3(H2O)3(NO3)]8+ indium cluster, resulting in a novel tri-indium-substituted sandwich-type polyoxotungstate.

Graphical Abstract

A rare indium-substituted polyoxotungstate has been synthesized by solvothermal assembly of lacunary polyoxotungstate precursor with p-block metal indium, which represents the first {A-α-PW9O34}-based indium-substituted polyoxotungstate.
