Synthesis, characterization and electrical properties of SnO2/CuO nanocomposite

SnO2/CuO nanocomposite was synthesized via facile sol–gel process. X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy were used to characterize the morphology and structure of the product. Optical properties show that SnO2/CuO crystallites have broad absorption in the UV–Vis region and the corresponding band gap is 2.93 eV. Also, the electrochemical behavior of SnO2/CuO nanocomposite was investigated by cyclic voltammetry technique. The results showed good electrocatalytic properties for SnO2/CuO nanocomposite.
