Abstract

In the present work, TiO2 nanoparticle was synthesized with the aid of titanium (IV) isopropoxide precursor by microwave method. Besides, the effects of various experimental variables including reaction time and irradiation power on the morphology and particle size of products were explored by SEM images. The as-prepared TiO2 nanoparticles were characterized extensively by techniques like XRD, SEM, TEM, and PL. To examine the application of TiO2 nanoparticle as an absorption layer, a thin film of CdS was put on the TiO2 film by chemical bath in order to make up a solar cell.
