Abstract

A new A6B5O18-type cation deficient perovskite Sr5LaTi2Nb3O18 was prepared by the conventional solid-state reaction route. The phase, microstructure, and microwave dielectric properties of the ceramic were characterized. This compound crystallizes in the trigonal system with unit cell parameter a = 5.6101(2) Å, c = 40.922(8) Å, V = 1,115.4(5) Å3, and Z = 3. It shows a high dielectric constant of 48, a high quality factors with Q u × f of 27,806 GHz, and a small positive τ f of +19 ppm/°C.
