Correction to: Preparation and characterisation of poly(vinyl) alcohol (PVA)/starch (ST)/halloysite nanotube (HNT) nanocomposite films as renewable materials

  1. 1.

    The symbol “wf” in Eq. (2) on p. 3458 denotes the weight fraction of HNTs in PVA/ST/HNT nanocomposites.

    In the second paragraph in Thermal Properties on p. 3463, the text should be replaced with “Such results were proven with the reduction of T5%, T50% and T90% by 104.7, 33.2 and 7.8 °C, respectively, compared with those of neat PVA”. (The authors reversed the values.)

    In the last paragraph on p. 3463, the text should be replaced with “as shown in Fig. 7A, B. For instance, T90% was increased from 460.4 °C for PVA/ST/GL blends to 468.9 °C for nanocomposites reinforced with 1 wt % HNTs”. (The authors had written ‘…the decomposition temperature at 5% weight loss’…)

    In Fig. 8B, the vertical axis caption should be “Relative heat flow (W/g)”.
