Abstract
Optical transmission spectra of X-ray-irradiated CdS- and CdSSe-doped glasses and undoped glass have been measured. Induced absorption has been observed in these glasses. In addition to the radiation-induced absorption increment, decrease in absorption has been observed near absorption edge in CdSSe-doped glasses. Origin of the decrease in absorption was examined.
