Bile Acids-Selective Chemosensors Based on NBD-amine-Modified Cyclodextrins

Abstract

A new type of fluorescent chemosensor, based on modified cyclodextrins bearing the fluorophore unit NBD-amine, was prepared. One of these new chemosensors, NC0γCD is very sensitive to bile acids, but is not sensitive to other guests (e.g. adamantane and borneol derivatives). The response of the new type of chemosensor to a guest was an increase in the fluorescence intensity and the sensitivity parameter (ΔI/I 0 ) dose not correlate to the binding affinity of NC0γCD.
