Classification of Analgesic Drugs in Primary Packaging by Applying Multivariate Methods to Terahertz Spectra

  • Published:
Journal of Applied Spectroscopy Aims and scope

The efficiencies of several multivariate methods of recognition of drug classes in primary packaging using THz transmission spectra are compared. The advantage of support vector machines is demonstrated with a classification error ≤5.7% for two groups of analgesic drugs with a high level of heterogeneity of samples in the groups.
