In this volume you will see again some changes in the Editorial Board. In the first place you will see that from now on we will have to work without Edgar Jenkins, who has decided to retire from the Board after many years of excellent service, at first as the editor-in-chief of the journal and later as an editorial board member. For many of us it is hard to imagine the journal without Edgar. We owe him quite a bit, as he has worked hard to make the journal into what it is now. Many thanks, Edgar, for all the high quality work that you have done for the journal. We wish you well for years of well-deserved rest.

Two other board members that we will miss from now on are Richard Kimbell and Michael Dyrenfurth. As time went on it became more and more difficult for them to do reviews for the journal, and for that reason others will take over. Thanks to both for all the work they have done, both in reviewing and promoting the journal.

Three new names appear in the list of board members to replace Edgar, Richard and Michael. They are: Vicky Compton (New Zealand), Michael deMiranda (USA) and Eric Parkinson (UK). It is good to see that the international character of the journal remains visible in the Editorial Board. We welcome all three on board and I look forward to working with you. In fact, all three have already submitted first reviews, and those make me quite confident that we will be able to maintain our quality thanks to their work.

Let me take the opportunity to acknowledge all the work done by the other editorial board members also. All of them have experienced that being a board member is by no means just an honorary affair. It is hard work, and I found them always prepared to do that in the interest of the journal. Many thanks to all for supporting me in the effort to ensure that the International Journal of Technology & Design Education remains a leading academic journal in our field.

In the previous two issues some mistakes have been made in the Table of Contents. In the first place, the names of two guest editors are missing in Vol. 17, No. 1. Not only Kin-Kwok Wan served as a guest editor, but also dr. Chan-Yin Tang (Hong Kong Polytechnic University) and Dr. Ken Volk (at that time Director of MCV Asia Ltd. in Hong Kong). I apologize to both colleagues for this error, caused by personnel changes at Springer. In Vol. 17, No. 2 erroneously the articles were split into two sections, Research articles and Original papers. This was never, though, the intention, and all papers should be regarded as of the same nature. Again, my apologize to those whose publications were involved.
